MENDENGARKAN MUSIK & STRESS DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI Replikasi Penelitian “Music Listening and Stress in Daily Life─a Matter of Timing” Oleh Alexandra Linneman, MarioWenzel, Jennifer Grammers, Thomas Kubiak, Urs M. Nater

The study aims to measure and explore the effect of music on individual stress levels, and find out the effect of listening to music on daily stress levels. Total number of 30 subjects participated in this experiment and they were selected using cluster random sampling method. Data collecting in this experimental study used the ESM stress scale as a monitoring scale, the PSS (Perceived Stress Scale), and the intensity of listening to music which was seen through the Last.fm application. Data was analysed using one-way ANOVA and Paired Sample T-test. The result of the study showed that there was no influence of listening to music on everyday stress. Moreover, it also showed that majority of subjects had moderate daily stress level (66.6%). Keywords: music, stress, daily stress, songs, listening music ABTRAK Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh musik pada tingkat stres individu, dan mengetahui efek mendengarkan musik terhadap tingkat stres sehari-hari. sebanyak 30 subjek berpartisiasi dalam ekperimen ini dipilih dengan metode cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stress ESM sebagia skala monitoring, PSS(Perceived Stress Scale), dan intensitas mendengarkan music dilihat melalui aplikasi Last.fm. analisis data menggunakan one-way ANOVA dan Paired Sample T-test. Hasil penenlitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak teredapat pengaruh mendengarkan musik terhadap stress sehar-hari. hasil penenlitian juga menunjukkan bahwa sebagain besar subjek memiliki tingkat stress seharihari yang sedang (66,6%).
